How to create Insight report that pulls employees added to system within date range?

Additionally, I want to include the history text column so I can see who has or has not:

1) Logged into EWS, or

2) Received a New Employee Email

I have tried this but for each row in the report, the person mentioned in the history text isn't the same person listed in the first/last name columns.

How do I do this right?

Also, if I use History Text as a parameter, can I use wildcards in that field when running the report? Something like *logged in* so it will show all users who logged in.
