Employee Website Changes - Test before

We are looking to revise and change the homepage of our employee website to add video and other elements.  Is there a way to test these changes out prior to going live?  We don't want employees to see the changes until we are ready and like the layout.  Can I create a new employee webpage that only a few people have access to and that becomes our "test" page?
