'Edit' button in Performance Reviews

Hi everyone,

Employees and managers at my company are constantly confused about how to edit their self appraisals and performance reviews.  They do not understand that they need to click "Edit" in order to fill out the review. 

Is there a place to change the text of the "Edit" button to say something like "Fill Out Review"?  Or is there a way to change the workflows so that self appraisals and performance reviews come up in Edit mode automatically? 

I've tried to find ways to do the above tasks for about 45 minutes and I've not had any luck.  I am an administrator in our system.
