Anyone alerting recruiters based on # of applicants?

Hello,

We have a business need to be able to alert recruiters when a requisition hits a certain number of applicants. The only way I can think of doing this would be to setup scheduled reports that would pull open reqs with # applied and recruiters would need to open to see where their numbers stand

Has anyone else had this need or have an idea how it could be done differently than a scheduled report?
