Requisition Field-Content Required

Hello,

I am trying to make a requisition field- "Employee Status"- required for saving. I went into Recruiting Administration and changed the 'Content required' field to "Required for Saving". Is there something else I need to do because it did not work. The recruiters can still save the reqs without selecting data for this field and there is no little red asterisk where I would expect one. If anybody has any suggestions, that would be great.
