Need assistance in adding education degrees to employee records

I need to know how to have an employee record list that they graduated with a PhD from Stanford in Electrical Engineering on June 1, 2016. I have been directed (by an Oracle employee) to a whitepaper on Loading Talent Data using HCM Data Loader. This only gets me part way. I saw that this is possible at OHUG but cannot get assistance on how to do it. I'm was told all over OHUG that Customer Connect will help me with items like this. I really hope that is true.
