New Supervisor Role Feature

and I tested out the new feature of Supervisor Roles in the UAT (staging) site.  We validated that the default supervisor role was active and had a few permissions.  We then elevated a current user to a supervisor.  When we checked the permissions, it was blank (no permissions were displaying) with no ability to add permissions.  To further test I created a user, checked their permissions, elevated them to supervisor, validated that they were listed in the Supervisor Role group and then rechecked their User permissions.  Even though I have elevated them to a supervisor, they still do not have
