Launching a course, but without adding the LP

Summary

The LP widget lets you launch the course without adding the Learning Plan to your record. I don't want that.

How do I set up the Learning Plan or the widget so that a user has to “add” the Learning Plan to their record before they can launch the courses (like the search DO had)?
