Date Format on BI Reports

Is there a way to change the way the dates format on reports?

The date format (such as course completion date) is very long on reports.  I know there is a lot more functionality in BI Reporting than the old report writer, but I still cannot find how to do this.  The date takes up a huge amount of space needlessly. 

I have to think there is a way to do this and I'm just missing something....

I searched to see if anyone else has raised this issue, but since "BI" is less than 3 letters, it was excluded from the search criteria and I got a massive amount of posts returned. Just an FYI on the 3-letter search word requirement.
