Best approach for historical data migration

Hi All -

My client wants to migrate 15 years of historical data into HCM cloud. They are current on Peoplesoft. They are not worried about the Person history, but they want to migrate the job-history (or assignment data).

The data volumes is quite high. Any suggestions around best approach for historical data migration (using HDL) would be very helpful.

This is what I was thinking, but we haven't tested it yet.

1. Load all active person records (as the 1st load) -- One record per per employee from hire data

2. Load active assignment data (current effective record)
