Learn email messages for enrollment approval duplicating

Hi,
Our message settings haven't changed since original deployment but since the 24th Oct upgrade we have uses receiving duplicate emails for supervisor approval for enrollments. Checked the emails but we only have one setup under communications. Checking the email history we have 2 emails recorded as being sent but the setup of each one is slightly different, the approver gets CC'd on one of the emails.
Has anyone else seen this behaviour or has the upgrade fixed an underlying issue which has now exposed our setup of emails?
