Magically assigned LPs - recurring and NOT

Today, my learners have LPs assigned to them with past dates.  It's the functionality of the recurring to show the previous date but ALL my users were reassigned the LP, not just the people who should have it assigned.  Also, additional LPs are showing up on their home page which don't even have recurring set to them.  Again, with weird dates.

Anyone else experiencing this?  Of course this happens after I give everyone an assignment to complete a survey so they are all looking at their home pages.  Friday this was not occuring.
