Can you still only delegate a full manager remit and not just certain tasks (e.g. Holiday Approval)?

Working with a client who wants to delegate some administrative tasks to other managers within the application in the absence of another manager, however they do not wish to effectively give the covering manager full access to the common manager self-service features for their employees (and visibility of employee records this brings). Is there any future plans to support delegating specific tasks as opposed to full access?
