How to show approval history attribute value in Email template

Hello All, i want to display the approval history(approval_history_submit_t) attribute value in email template. I want to display the value of history attr in email, exactly the same way it shows up at quote/transaction header level.

approval_history_sbumit_t is a 2-D text area attribute and when I'm trying to read the value using any advanced rule it comes up as below.

[[reasonname, userlogin~companyname~Submit~null], [reasonname, userlogin~comapnyname~Approve~null, userlogin~companyname~Approve~null]]

Im thinking is there a way that we can convert the above array to a formatted statement, i.e. the same way that cpq shows up in quote/transaction header.
