Anybody know - can we segregate FTP access with Learn?

So as we are getting fancier, we would like to understand how other groups are handling putting files (reports) on their FTP servers and then restricting access to "just that" appropriate folder. Is the best case for us to "move" the file to somewhere else where we can regulate FTP traffic more easily?
