Assigning groups to Job Profiles ... do I need to add users manually?

I assigned groups to my Job Profiles.  In one of my groups, the users seem to have been assigned but in another group they're not.  What am I missing ... I waited overnight and no change.  Actually, have copies of the Job Profile report showing "non-assigned" people were mapped to the job profile but the people in the groups that were assigned didn't show up at all.  Friday Frustration.
