Location Changes

Location descriptions can't be used again

We often have locations changes in our organization where the location description may be used again in the future for a different location.  Does anyone have this type of situation?  Can you share how you handle since you can't re-use it even if it is inactivated.  We have had to delete the old locations from Taleo in order to get it to work based on Tech support guidance.
