Update from fixed term contract to permanent contract

Hello,

we configured in the contract type field the possibility to select fixed term contract or permanent contract in the employment model 2 tier single assignment with contract. When the user selects fixed term contract he has to fill in the projected end date. After that, there could be the case to change the contract type from fixed term contract to permanent contract. In this case, updating the assignment, the user has to change the contract type and to remove the projected end date. How can we to this action? I see that, for fixed term contract there is not the
