Our Resignation workflow is set up the way that once a resignation is approved (or rejected) by the manager, an FYI notification is sent to HRIS mailbox.  The Action Type for the FYI notification is set to "Information Only".  However, an expiration email is sent to the employee indicating that the resignation was dismissed.  This is happening for all transactions approved by managers.

I have attached screen shots of the Resignation approval flow and the BP settings.

I have an SR open. SR 3-17653385741.  I was told that this is expected behavior, because the FYI notification did not get claimed by members of FM_FYI_HRIS role. So the FYI notification will get expired when it reached the trigger point even if the task has already completed. This does not make sense to me.
