Personalize the actions available on Person Management

Personalize or show/hide fields based on the action selected

Hi Team,

I am working on client and stumble upon an requirement, where the client want to make few fields read only basis the action selected while updating an assignment using the Person Management Page. I know we can personalize the page basis user role and few other attributes using an EL, but not aware of any expression that gives me the action selected. 

Any suggestion or help is highly appreciated.
