Candidate Apply: Process Stops Once Email Address is Entered

Hello Experts:
I'm doing an initial configuration of ORC in our test POD and have gone through the Implementing Hiring guide. I have the very basics set up and have created a few job postings on the external career site. I am attempting to apply to one of those requisitions as an external candidate, but once I click on Apply Now, then enter a valid email address, and Click Next; I get a blank page. I'm thinking the email validation check isn't working and/or maybe there's a setup I missed.
