ESS: Viewing Complete Employment History

We would like employees to be able to view their entire employment history in ESS.

In ESS, employees can only see the employment history for their current Legal Employer and nothing before that. This becomes problematic when an employee has a global transfer and can no longer see anything that happened prior. We would like them to be able to see a complete history from original hire (regardless of person type) to current. Does anyone know how to get around this? 

We had a similar issue with them not being able to view their Salary History, so we built a report and added it to an infolet as a workaround. Rather than continuing to create more reports we were hoping someone had a better solution.
