Summary

Issue with revaluation journal created on Reporting Currency

Content

I have this scenario where I am seeing some issue:

  • We have configured reporting currency for currency conversion set at Journal level. My primary ledger is in EUR currency while reporting currency is in USD.
  • Now I created a journal of 550 GBP in primary ledger with accounting date of 13th Nov 2018. When I posted this journal, it also created and posted a journal in reporting currency USD.
  • After this I executed revaluation process for Primary ledger for Nov-18 and it created a revaluation journal in EUR currency with amount difference based on exchange rate difference between 13th and 30th Nov'18. Revaluation journal amount exactly matches with manual calculation on difference in exchange rates and this journal is worth 7.39 euros.

Howdy, Stranger!
