Pending Prerequisite - When does a worker gets this status

Summary

Created a course where prerequisites are required and similar setting on the access group. Still the employee is able to move ahead in the course without completing prerequisites

Hi,

I need some help in understanding this 'Pending Prerequisite' status for the worker. To the best of my understanding, a worker would be in this status when he has registered for the course & its offering and not completed the prerequisite. Ideally, the employee should not be able to start the offering until he/she completes the prerequisite or admin waives them off.

 

Presently, the employee is able to continue on the offering even though he/she has not completed the prerequisite. Is this the expected functionality? When does the employee gets into this status?
