REST API fields query parameter issue

The fields parameter does not seem to return more than 1 field within a level

On 18C - I want to see if others are running into this or a similar issue before I log an SR. In my endpoint I am requesting PersonNumber, DisplayName (as well as AssignmentName) from the endpoint. At the top level, only DisplayName shows in the output. I would expect to see both PersonNumber and DisplayName.

Request

?fields=PersonNumber;DisplayName;assignments:AssignmentName

Output

{'DisplayName': 'Wade Wilson', 'assignments': [{'AssignmentName': 'Primary Assignment'}]}

 

However, if I flip the positioning of PersonNumber/DisplayName, then the response contains PersonNumber, but not DisplayName.
