WebCenter Content (UCM) securing folder/file by role

Would like to secure an uploaded file by custom HCM role 'XYZ Manager'

Hey all,

Last time I tried mucking around in Administrator group/role functionality in UCM, I broke our pod and Oracle had to fix it. They told us to avoid the administrative functionality in UCM because it was not supported for HCM. Maybe there is a simpler way... so I was wondering if you knew of a way to secure an upload in UCM by an HCM role? Or should I be considering other avenues to store these files?
