Adjust default reports in Line Manager Dashboard

The section headcount has default reports, how to adjust en add to dashboardContent
The line manager dashboard has a section 'headcount' showing headcount and FTE figures. Clicking on those boxes opens a report.
We would like to make some small adjustments to these reports (adding or removing fields) and make the changed reports available in the dashboard.
Can someone help me how to achieve this? I can edit the default report, save this in my custom folder, but when we open the dashboard, the link still opens the default report.
