Manually update Legal Employer Seniority Date based on Assignment

We have 2 Oracle environments, both are using V2 version Seniority Dates and both have the same Date Rules added in the Configure Seniority Dates under Setup and Maintenance. But when we manually update seniority dates the Legal Employer Seniority Date is updated correctly only in the required assignment in one environment whereas the Legal Employer Seniority Date is updated in both the assignments in one environment. Can anyone please let us know if we are missing anything?
