Selecting and approving multiple items in worklist

This question crosses between ERP and HCM, but hopefully someone has some experience with the issue. We have some users who may have a list of assigned tasks in their BPM. They want to be able to select and approve multiple items at once. It appears that in some cases, ERP transactions will allow it, but not HCM. We also seem to have different results when using a Windows vs Apple computer. Is there any documentation or does anyone have experience on: 

1. When/if it is possible to use control+click for example and approve several items?
2. Differences between ERP and HCM for this ability?
