Expected Behaviour? Mandatory Learning items appearing in Voluntary Learning as well.

Is it expected behaviour for partially completed learning items that have been assigned via a specialisation to also appear in Voluntary Learning?

Hi guys, 

I'm experiencing some unusual behaviour with Required and Voluntary Learning. 

I have a specialisation that is made up of 9 activities.

The learner who has been assigned this specialisation as required logs in

They clicks onto the specialisation and select one of the learning items

They click start learning

Then without clicking on either the content or evaluation navigate back to the home page

They click onto voluntary learning and then the course that they clicked on in the specialisation appears in voluntary learning.
