How to Reverse the "Cancel Work Relationship" done on an employee

Hi 

Would like to know if there is a way to Reverse the ""Cancel Work Relationship"  that was done on an employee record. 

Since the employee Work relationship is cancelled, we are not even able to see his record in the person management but this employee user account displays with inactive and we also see the employee number used for the employee is linked to this user account. 

Is there a feature / option for  Reverse Cancel worker relationship.
