Need to build a custom alert that informs learning assignment to a learner

Hi All,

We have a requirement to send alerts to learners once a learning assignment/initiative has been assigned to them.

As a start, I copied the delivered 'New Learning Assignments' alert and update it based on its code and enabled it. Next, I did a required assignment on a set of learners and ran my alert. In alert history, I do see that the learners have received a notification that informs them about the new learning assignment but when I log into the learner's account, I do not see the notification.
