Value for People Group Value not disabling properly

We are using one value set for our People Group Key Flexfield. When trying to end-date or disable a value, the value can still be added to an employee on Manage Employment page

We are using the People Group Key Flexfield with one context and one value set attached to it.  When a value is disabled from the value set, we are finding that the value is still able to be chosen and submitted after the disabled date for an employee's record in Manage Employment.

We have an SR for this one, but wondering if anyone else might have a solution.  The value is not available when you search, but if you type in the value, then you do not get an error message and can change the current value to the one that has been disabled already.
