Can assignment name be edit after mass assignment?

Need to edit assignment name after mass assignment of learning itemContent
Hello -
I did a mass assignment, and for reporting purposes, would like to change the assignment name so we can report by month of assignment.
Example: Those who receives 'learning 123' in December, would like to change assignment name to 'learning 123-december', and so on...
I went to edit assignment and did not see the capability to edit this. If this can be done, would appreciate someone directing me.
