Document categories search option is not available in Manage Document Records

Users / HR Admins cannot find document categories as a search option to filter the doument types associated with the categories

In Manage Document Records task, Users / HR Admins cannot find document categories as a search option to filter the doument types that are associated with the categories. Is there a way to add this option as a search field. Also if they try to create additional document type the system only displays the previous document type that was registered. Appriciate any feedback.
