Gender Field do not auto populate during Transfers

Gender Field do not auto populate during Transfers, Is this a usual behavior from the HCM Application?

When transfering an employee / CWK from one LE to another the Gender field do not auto populate on the second assignment (even if i choose yes to Copy Primary Assignment Data). Users have to manually enter them. Is this a usual behavior from the Core HCM Application? if not, is there a way to default the same Gender value from the previous assignment?. appreciate any feedback. Thank you.
