For what purpose can the "Benchmark job" and "Progression job" fields be used?

Hi,

Has someone experienced the use of the "Benchmark job" and "Progression job" fields, available in the job definition page (Workforce structure > Manage jobs)?

I would like to understand their potential utility and if these fields can be used to create a sort of hierarchy of jobs.
