Unable to see notifications in the business process workspace

I've created an FYI notification, but received the attached email that it was not triggered. When I go to the business process workspace to check on the transaction nothing comes up in the search.

Is there a certain role needed to have the Business Process Workspace show data? I've tried a few browsers and nothing shows up.
