True up of Indirect Cost Using burdening

We have the burdening concept in Oracle Projects & using that option one can define the setup and allocate the % cost on each project. But how does the true up of cost happens ? Say company incurred $10,000 as rent but even defining the % of cost does not mean that all the cost will be distributed. So can someone share experience of how burdening concept can be used to equally allocate the indirect cost & take care of true up in GL
