Conditional formatting does not reflect in OTBI report where Logical SQL is used

We have a requirement where we had to write a logical SQL query to show previous and current attributes in an OTBI report. We wanted to color code the changes if that attribute had a change using conditional formatting however we are unable to do so. We do have some outer queries in the logical SQL which is why the values are not auto-populated as it does with a simple logical SQL. Even if we type in the values and apply formatting, the styles does not get applied to the column values.We have a requirement where we had to write
