How make email address view only for employees

Hi,

I am trying to make the ESS - email address as read only and would want HR alone to update employee's email address. To achieve this I tried design studio , Personalization - I don't the the option to make it read only. From the role customization perspective, I don;t see any priv which controls only email address .

 

Any inputs would be really helpful.
