BIP Report running for ever

Existing BIP report is running for ever with recent upgrade

Hello  Everyone,

We have report which was running fine without any issues for 5 hours now with recent upgrade report keep running never returns results.

Inside the BIP data model we have two data set1 and data set2, data set1 which has employee level detail and data set2 scan historical record for each employee which is long running query and data set1 and data set2 join by person_number. Data set2 is optimized best possible way with all the business rules. Report has to fetch results for both data set1 and data set2, since we no idle what changed in cloud database or the application with the upgrade is there any workaround solution to make this report run?  Is it possible to split the data set1 and data set2 into two report
