When creating a dashboard how to you not show the refresh option

I am creating a dashboard and depending on the prompt values some of my reports that are in the dashboard sections don't have any information to display. I have been able to create a custom error message of blank so that the message that the values didn't result in any data does not display, but I do still get a refresh hyperlink in that section. Can someone please advise how I can disable that or stop it from appearing in my dashboard.
