Approval condition needed for salary null with rules based on initiator

We have an approval on Change Assignment and are getting an error when an employee doesn't have a salary when the transaction is initiated and one is entered in during the Change Assignment transaction. Our rules are:

  • If initiated by HR, auto approve
  • If initiated by Manager and there is a salary percent change of more than 15 and less than 15, go to the one-over manager and then the one-over's manager
  • If initiated by Manager and there is a salary compa-ratio change of more than 125 and less than 75, go to the one-over manager and then the one-over's manager
  • If initiated by Manager and both of the previous conditions are met, go to the one-over manager and then the one-over's manager
