View candidate communication preferences?

This seems pretty basic, so I feel like I'm missing something, but I haven't been able to find an answer on Cloud Customer Connect or MOS. How can I view candidate's communication preferences? We have enabled text messaging, and when a candidate signs up for verification with text, all future messages follow that path. I'd like to know before sending a message which path it will take for a given candidate, and if possible, I'd like to override that path for certain communications (i.e. I don't want offers going out via text message is most cases).
Is there a way for a recruiter to see a candidate's selected communication method when they've provided both email and phone number in their personal details?
