View Headcount by Selected Leader

Hello everyone,

I created a dashboard for HR business partners covering basic worker and person assignment information e.g. headcount, gender breakout. I would like to include a filter that enables the user to select a leader which filters the dashboard too see all data in that leader's span of control (direct and indirect employee). 

Any guidance on how this can be done? I believe it has something to do with the Assignment Manager List (Unsecured) subject area, but I do not have the expertise to bring this to life.
