Preferred Name is a Format Type for Canada, but documentation is confusing

Hello,

Looking for clarifications around the Preferred Name format in HCM.

As seen in the screenshot, it is a Format Type for Canada, just like Full Name or Displayed Name.

However, from this document "Where Is Preferred Name Used or Displayed In Fusion Global HR (Doc ID 1579951.1)", I understand that Preferred Name only refers to the KNOWN_AS attribute, so not a Format Type per se.

This is confusing. How can I know where Preferred Name is displayed (if a Format Type)? If just an attribute, what is this Format Type?
