Offerings: Do you have to use the Save and Close button to mark a SCORM 1.2 file complete

We use Articulate 360 to create  a SCORM 1.2 offering, and at the end of the course we have an Exit course button. The button is setup to mark the course complete/incomplete but it never works.

After clicking the button, you still have to use Oracle Save and Close button or the course is never marked complete.
Is there anyway around that so a learner doesn't have to click the Oracle Save and Close ?
