Push approvals mid-workflow

Recruiting manager needs to "push" approval to end on some reqs

We have encountered a situation in our recent Recruiting implementation where the business realizes in the midst of a 6 step (yes, excessive, but that was the requirement and they wouldn't budge) approval flow - say at Approver 2 of 6 that for business reasons, other discussions that remaining approvals in the chain is not needed.

Bypass is not an option because the req has already started through the workflow

Skip levels will not work because we are not using job level

Is there a higher level privilege or role that can supercede all remaining approvals without incrementally reassigning?
