Default Value using SQL code

Hello! 

I'm trying to default a descriptive flexfield on position with a value from Location descriptive flexfield. But my SQL formula doesn't work:

SELECT loc.ATTRIBUTE1 FROM PER_LOCATION_LEG_F loc, HR_ALL_POSITIONS_F pos WHERE loc.LOCATION_ID = pos.LOCATION_ID

Could you suggest please what can be the issue?
